Mittzu View Profile View Posts. Now, this is of great significance or value because the brightness of the game makes the game easier or harder, speaking for myself when I started the game I set it correctly putting the pinpoint all the way back, like 0 brightness, and that made the game so horrifying and awesome, I couldn't even see the monster in the basement I could see his up-body and his head and arms, the rest was all blackness.

So I went for a new playthrough with the brightness set in the middle and that made the game so easy for me I could see it all, I could see the monster in the basement and the walls, my fear was gone because it was so light it didn't creep me out at all.

Conclusion: developers wanted the game to be all dark, I reaffirm I believe people do NOT set it correctly the way it should be, I say that based on youtube videos and gameplays, youtubers were playing with the wrong brightness level, I saw very few who did play it correctly with the brightness at 0 ZERO. Conclusion 2: The brightness factor implies in the difficulty level of the game, a dark screen won't let you find things so easily as you would playing with a bright screen, and don't get me wrong I don't want you to use some "not-normal" way to play the game in its excellencejust respect the brightness adjustment screen and set it the way you won't see the left LOGO on your screen.

Back to finding things, I'll say it changes a lot the gameplay, I couldn't find items because of the darkness, I couldn't evade the monster's claws because I couldn't see his limbs. I had a jump scare when I found the dead guy by a hook in the basement playin the videotapethat is understandable because it was all dark, on the other hand you would not jump scare because you would have seen the guy facing the wall. I'm telling you all that because some kids mocked me saying I was a little coward and they found the game not scary enough and they were the bosses etc.

LoL, I thought no one would care for that since no one replied til yesterdayDon't let the Resident Evil 3 Remake train puzzle slow you down. Skulking through the streets of Raccoon City, dodging zombies, and keeping a watchful eye out for the Nemesis is tiring work, but now it's time to catch your breath with a quick puzzle.

Naturally there are some mild spoilers ahead, but if you're stuck then you're in the right place.

Before attempting this head-scratcher, ensure you've combed the Downtown area and found all items as this sequence is quite literally your ticket out of here. There's time to have a quick scout about after completing it, but it's significantly harder to traverse the streets freely, for one large, toothy, and very angry reason. Let's get cracking with the solution to the Resident Evil 3 Remake train puzzle.

The train has stopped at Redstone Park and you need to set a route to ensure its safe passage to Fox Park. Start by heading to the Kite Railway Bros building. To access this part of Downtown, walk through Moon's Donuts, turn right, and look for the red neon sign. Enter the building to find the Subway Control Room.

Interested to know how you arrive at this solution? The Kite Bros Railway route map taped to the terminal has several red crosses marked on it in ink. These are the lines you cannot travel down. There are also a few numbers scrawled near the stations you need to pass through in order to get to Fox Park, but some of these are difficult to make out. On the left is the Railway Route Setting which is split into two columns featuring two letters and two numbers from The letters correspond to the stations, the numbers to the line.

There are five rows in total, but your starting station Redstone Street and destination Fox Park are already set. This means that you only need to fill in the middle three route settings:. After you watch all lines glow green and you check in with your buddy Carlos, head back to the Subway Station to continue the main story.

Again, ensure that you have collected everything you want from the Downtown area as you are now primed to leave the area. Oh, and evergreen tip: watch out for Nemesis. Please deactivate your ad blocker in order to see our subscription offer.

Same issue for me, I tried playing the different brightness sliders but it's still a complete mess. Hope this will be fixed in the full version. Last edited by Speedy Von Gofast ; 11 Jan, pm. Hawky View Profile View Posts. Switching from DX12 to DX11 changed nothing, and messing with the brightness sliders changed nothing too. Glad to know it's not just me at least. I even tried a different screen, still no joy.

Marginally better on my p screen, but still incredibly dark, and pretty much impossible to see on my 4K screen. Not that the PS4 version had this issue on my 4K this morning, so Definitely tried different methods. Multi View Profile View Posts.

X Gon' Give It to Ya " meme last year. I swear it was all in good fun, but this Nemesis guy seems pissed. I've spent the past week or so testing the Resident Evil 3 remake, barely a year since we played Resident Evil 2.

Capcom is quickly working its way through the RE library, retelling the story of the pas de trois between Jill, Carlos, and Nemesis as a mysterious pandemic sweeps through Raccoon City.

It's weird timing for a pandemic story but I'm excited by the return of the RE Engine. Resident Evil 2 ran like a dream, and the good news is that Resident Evil 3 essentially follows in its well-optimized footsteps—though I still wish Capcom would streamline the graphics settings a bit. Resident Evil 3's graphics options are confusing. More confusing than they need to be. Or rather, it does work. The GTX even averages more than 60 frames per second at Max, though it does dip below that floor occasionally.

Surprising, right? Yes, the best GPU on the market today throws up a warning when you try to max out Resident Evil 3—but it runs fine. So what's the deal? It's made even more complicated by the way the Texture Quality options are labeled. The category is broken down into Low, Medium, and High, but within those categories you'll get subdivisions like "Medium 0.

And having benchmarked them, the answer is: "They don't. The good news: None of it really matters, past a certain point. Texture Quality has very little impact on framerate, and any modern GPU including the lowly GTX is capable of running the "Balanced" profile error-free, which utilizes the "High 0. There are also diminishing returns after the "High 1 GB " setting used for the "Graphics Priority" preset.

Ambient Occlusion: Okay then, what settings do matter? If you are struggling to run Resident Evil 3, the first setting you should tweak is Ambient Occlusion. Yes, even when using an AMD card. Some swear it's more realistic, but only barely if at all and it's not worth the framerate hit.

Shadow Quality: There's no point running this at Max. Stick to High unless you're feeling extra goth. Unfortunately there's no in-between here.

In Resident Evil 3, reflections are either on or off—and I really prefer them on. Raccoon City is all wet streets and neon signs, and the ambience suffers when you lose the pinks and purples reflecting off the ground. It even has a minor impact on the game itself, as zombies also show up in reflections.

Again, it's an on-or-off binary, and again, it's the neon signs that suffer most. Resident Evil 3's bloom is fairly subtle, but with it on you get a nifty foggy night effect, and disabling it renders Raccoon City a bit less lively. Anti-Aliasing: This recommendation is less about performance, more about taste. Trouble is, all of them are flawed. The RE Engine does this weird thing with reflections where they look grainy—almost like low-end ray-tracing. But again, TAA blurs the edges of everything.

It's like a thick Vaseline smear across your screen, or "soft focus" if you want to be generous. Unfortunately, removing TAA means everything sparkles like it's covered in glitter—asphalt, puddles, all of it ready to host a sweet rave. It's less distracting than the sparkles.
